Do you want to save the date of an upcoming night event? Keep that Moon very close to you with these customized lunar phases' charms: you tell me the date, I look up the phase the moon was/will be during that date in your location (can go as far back or forward in time as you might need!), and I'll craft the moon especially for you!!
how it's made
I make the corresponding lunar phase in sterling silver, then I engrave little craters and moon marks (true to the real ones) and apply black patina to create the contrast between the Moon and the sky. I can engrave your chosen date on the back of the moon, as well as a name, or even a small quote! Finally, I attach the charm to a solid sterling silver keychain.
*** Please have in mind that due to the high friction that a keychain suffers, the patina will start to wear off on the most exposed areas. Many customers love this distressed effect, otherwise, patina can always be reapplied - in fact, the keychain you see in the pictures is over 3 years old. I reapplied the patina and repolished it and it ended up looking as good as new, so I decided to take a few shots before returning it to its owner! ***
