the story
Inspired by the ritual of the Moroccan Mint Tea and Henna Tattoos.
ASHUM (arrow) In Berbere tattoos, the zig-zag or arrow is associated with lightning and represents male energy and fertility.
AYN (eye) A graceful line of circles representing eyes against evil-eye, which is a motif used in many cultures, included the Moroccan (present in the hamsa or hand).
HAWA (air) A delicate lacy drawing reminds me of the decoration in typical mint tea glasses, and the layer of foam at the top of the tea when pouring it from a high distance.
